Freedom Check - November 2015

At the end/beginning of every month, I will update the status of my freedom fund as a way to stay accountable to you and myself. Assuming everything else remains constant, the freedom fund is based on the number of months that I am able to sustain myself without income.

Freedom Check - November 2015

Income = 100%

Family = 3.6%
Personal = 0%
Rental = 17.2%
Food = 17.9%
Transport = 2.3%
Cell = 0.8%
Household = 0.4%
Travel = 43.8%
Misc. = 4.5%
Shopping = 4.4%

Contribution to Freedom Fund = 5.1%

Average Savings Rate (2015) = 28%

Value of freedom: 24.4 months

Commentary: I know, it's been a little quiet over here on White Collar Freedom. Blame the rat cage for it. But as always, I'm still tracking my expenses diligently and here's to being accountable...

Last month's expenses hit an all time high of 95%. Almost half of that was attributed to travel as we went away on our rather delayed honeymoon. Well, disappointingly it looks like we're going to end the year with an average savings rate of around 30+% and that is far from our target of 50% average savings for 2015.

On a positive note, Mrs. WCF found a better rat cage and will be seeing a slight bump in income.

Still aiming for that elusive 50% savings rate in 2016.

  1. Can't complain about a 30% savings rate. You will be at 50% before you know it.
