Back On The Wheel

They placed a stack of documents on the desk - indemnity forms, IT rules, non-disclosures, contracts and other legal mechanisms that keep a good rat in its corporate cage.

"Sign here...and here...and on every page", that's what the HR lady said.

Ah, getting back on the wheel (a new one, of course) seems all too familiar - enthusiastic interns, fresh faces and some disgruntled ones ranting about the peculiarities of the rat cage.

What's new right?

On the bright side, there are cool rats around here as well, some challenging projects to grapple with and this rat cage spits out more peanuts!

The freedom bucket's smiling, so I'm not complaining.

Yet.

  1. My Mrs hs just got back on the wheel After 3 years of studying and pregnancy.
It's a tough return for her. The irony of chaining yourself up so as to get closer to freedom.

    1. It's an oxymoron...a fascinating one indeed.

  3. Yeah, its not a necessary evil but it sure helps grease the retirement wheels! We just try to save as much as possible when we are making a lot of money.

    1. 'Greasing the retirement wheel'...that makes a lot of sense. I like that. Hmm, now I need to look for a way to grease the wheel I'm currently on first.
