Deliberately Searching For Freedom

It's almost the end of the year now.

I hope you're getting out of debt soon, saving hard, reaping the fruits of your investments and working towards freedom.

It's the time of the year where our moods are lighter, where we reflect on what we're proud of and what we're ashamed of.

This is also the time where we are most motivated to make a change - to lose weight, to be debt free, to have a new job, to have more time with the family, to pursue new life paths and to be happier.

But somehow, somewhere in the middle of the year, most of us screw up.

We allow ourselves to be a victim of procrastination. A casualty of the corporate treadmill and a slave to the banks.

Day after day, we allow our old habits to live and we hope that one day...just one day, things will get better on its own; thinking that our debts will pay itself off, our income will increase on its own and we'll live happily ever after.

Let me break that little bubble of yours - it will never happen.

Freedom is about having a choice to pursue what brings the most satisfaction to your life and it's real. But to work your way there, you have to deliberately search for it. You have to deliberately make those changes and own your future.

And if you want it bad enough, you have to be relentless in your search for it.

Nothing else is real.

  1. Josh,

Great post! Its sentiment strongly relates to my post today. We have to delibaretely try and reach what we want out of life. Without pushing luck in the right direction we'll never get there.

    Happy holidays,

    1. Great minds think alike :) Happy holidays NMW
