It's Been a Year. How Much Longer?

Can you believe it?

It's been almost 1 year since the White Collar Freedom bug hit me. It was at this time of the year that I was standing in front of the cash machine, looking at the receipt that displayed my bank balance of $72.00.

I was in a mess, disoriented, living from paycheck-to-paycheck, had $4,000 in credit card debt and was confused as shit with this whole rat race conundrum.

All I wanted was to get out of that mess - I wanted to own my life once again.

I remember that Sunday afternoon at Starbucks, equipped with a laptop and nothing else, I started this blog to cope with the painful process of getting my finances in order and to be accountable to you readers.

Writing this blog has not only helped me to stay on track, but I now see with perfect clarity what I want to achieve at the end of this journey.

About 2 months ago, my net worth (emergency bucket + equities) tipped the 5-figure scale and at this rate I'm going, it seems that freedom is no longer this cloudy dream that cannot be reached.

White Collar Freedom's readership has been growing as well. It's encouraging to know that there are others out there who can relate to the stuff that's written here. If you are reading this, thank you for subscribing and frequently visiting this site.

As I write this paragraph, my mind drifts off and I'm staring out of the window, looking at the park below...

This whole process is frustratingly slow but undeniably rewarding.

I can't help but wonder how much longer will it take to be free.
