Employee by Day, Capitalist by Night
I'm guessing that you have a full time job, and you collect a paycheck at the end of the month.
I'm no different.
Like you, I show up at work on time, work diligently and struggle through the drudgery of 8-10 hours a day - running on the corporate treadmill.
In return, I'm rewarded with a paycheck.
But what I do with this paycheck, is perhaps, the difference between us. While most white-collar rats spend their paycheck on lifestyles that they think they deserve, I spend mine on filling the buckets in the bucket system.
At the point of writing, my emergency buckets are almost full and freedom chips are now flowing down to my freedom buckets. By night, I read up on stocks and investment-related articles, sipping knowledge as if it's vodka, in hopes of breaking free from the reliance of a paycheck.
As each month passes, I'm getting closer to the 'ultimate status symbol' - being financially independent and having the chance to focus on what truly matters to me.
It's never too late to start.
